From historic harbours, sandy beaches and rolling waves to coastal footpaths, heritage gardens and so much more - explore the stunning coastline of North Cornwall and everything it has to offer

Padstow
Some of the best restaurants in the country, cosy pubs, shops, galleries & crabbing
Padstow is a beautiful fishing village and is well known for its gastronomic delights. There is plenty to see and do. Bikes are left outside the village and a short walk takes you into the harbour and the array of beautiful shops and eateries. From Padstow you can enjoy some fantastic cliff top walks or catch the ferry over to Rock and Daymer Bay.
Beaches
Golden sand, quiet coves, rolling surf and rock pools
From iconic sandy beaches to intimate sheltered coves, Cornwall’s 300+ beaches are gloriously varied. Dog friendly, family friendly, golden, pebbly, bustling or blissfully empty – we love them all! Our nearest beach is considered one of the best family beaches in Cornwall, Harlyn Bay is a wide and spacious beach of yellow sand and pebbles with plenty of interesting rock pools backed by dunes.
Harlyn Surf School, just a short walk away from the park on Harlyn beach offers activities for all the family including surfing, stand up paddle boarding, coasteering and sit on top kayak tours. All equipment is available for hire.
Out & About
Miles of traffic free cycling and walking for your adventures
The Camel Trail is a traffic free and family friendly route that runs along a disused railway line following the course of the Camel Estuary. There are plenty of places to stop and take in the beautiful scenery and wildlife. Padstow to Wadebridge is a flat, gentle 5 mile ride. Padstow Cycle Hire and Trail Bike Hire are both based in Padstow and can provide you with the perfect bike for your cycle along the Camel Trail.
Why not jump on England’s longest waymarked footpath, The South West Coast Path? It is right on our doorstep and a great way to discover hidden coves and shy seals.
Golf
A quick nine or the full round, we have some of the best courses in Cornwall
Our nearest golf course, Trevose Golf & Country club, has dramatic views across the golden sandy shore of Boobies Bay to the rugged coastline and offers three golf courses, catering for golfers of all standards. Or head to St Enodoc for a beautiful undulating, OK rather hilly links course set amidst towering sand dunes clad with tufts of wild sea grasses.
Trips Out
Magical gardens and historic houses to inspire you
Dubbed the Eighth Wonder of the World by some, Eden Project is a dramatic global garden housed in tropical biomes that nestle in a crater the size of 30 football pitches. From the world’s largest rainforest in captivity with steamy jungles and waterfalls, to evening gigs and concerts and stunning garden displays, local and fairly-traded food in restaurants and cafes, alongside an educational centre and demonstrations there’s something to inspire all ages.
Cornwall is lucky to have a mild climate and as such the gardens in Cornwall are quite unique. There is a wealth of exciting, rare and beautiful plants and trees to discover. From wild woodland to neatly manicured lawns, from the small and usual to the large and famous; the beautiful sub-tropical paradise with a stunning coastal backdrop at Trebah Garden to the 200 acres of exploration at Lost Gardens of Heligan, there is something for everyone.
